DG(S)C: Considerable increase in tool life achieved by internal cooling ZCC Cutting Tools offer grooving tool holders with internal cooling for the first time. The new DG(S)C grooving tool holder systems are specifically designed for machining non-alloyed, alloyed and stainless materials because of the high temperatures are generated. The precision internal cooling system ensures the perfect working temperature and chip control. During machining the jet of coolant strikes the cutting edge exactly where the temperature is highest. Higher cutting speeds and longer tool life are the result. The coolant supply is directly via the VDI mounting. The coolant supply can be conveniently connected to the ports at the side or the back. The internal cooling functions perfectly from a coolant pressure of 10 bar. The reinforced DGC version provides the necessary rigidity at small grooving widths. 3 grooving systems will be exhibited at the EMO 2019 trade fair: The DGC and DGSC systems are designed for greater grooving depths with cross sections from 16x16 to 25x25 mm and grooving widths from 2.0 to 6.0 mm. The SC grooving system for automatic lathes is also capable of cross sections from 10x10 to 20x20 mm and groove widths from 2.0 to 3.0 mm.
